About ASAP
THE ORGANIZATION
Speed is a critical component of any athletic program. ASAP was created to help athletes gain a competitive edge through speed development. In, high school I met and trained under Gene Noonan, who is recognized for his speed development around the country. His methods have helped athletes at all levels. Professional and college teams have incorporated these methods into their own training routines. Noonan's concepts have shaped my outlook and teaching techniques on speed. I have incorporated the core teaching of Noonan's system along with my own to create ASAP.
METHODS:
The following components are included in the program: speed training, speed endurance, explosive power, lateral speed, change of direction, flexibility, plyometric training, and restoration. ASAP’s methods are multi-faceted and can be incorporated into any sport and age group. Whether it is youth soccer or varsity football, any athlete or coach can benefit from these techniques.
PROGRAMS:
Every session will focus on technique training and quick athletic movement, including lateral, vertical and horizontal.

JUNIOR VARSITY (Ages 10-14):
In the JV program we address the various components of sprinting: technique, flexibility, endurance, power, stride length, and stride
frequency. Young athletes will pick up the proper techniques and key
development drills that will enhance their performance throughout their athletic career.
VARSITY BASIC (Ages 14+):
In the Varsity Basic program we work on the core components of
sprinting: technique, flexibility, endurance, power, stride length, and stride frequency. We work specifically on developing ankle strength and vertical capabilities along with proper running technique.
VARSITY ADVANCED (Ages 14+):
Along with proper technique, over-speed training is at the core of the Varsity program. We use over-speed devices to help the athlete achieve top speed without using a lot of muscular energy. Therefore, we are able to maintain the athlete’s proper technique for a longer period of time. Over-speed training also helps influence the neuromuscular system, as we trick it into a false speed sensation and build motor memory; what it’s like to be fast. Now we are training the athlete to know how it feels to run faster and maintain that speed through proper form.
3-DAY CAMPS:
During a 3-day camp we address the same methods used during the regular training but in a condensed format. We perform an evaluation with each athlete, determining the improvement areas. It is a great starter before the season. We would be happy to discuss how the 3-day camp can be used as a fundraiser for your team/school.
INDIVIDUAL:
We are always willing to do specific speed training for your athlete on a one-on-one basis. We can also do private work for your team or club. Parties will be responsible for securing a workout location.

About Chad Lilly, Founder:
Graduate of Northwestern University where he was a letter winner in football. Played Running Back and Strong Safety during 1991 to 1995. During his senior season he was considered the Best Conditioned Back on the team. Prior to Northwestern, Chad was a three-sport high school athlete gaining honors in football, basketball and track. He was selected to play in the Wisconsin Shrine Bowl after gaining 1500 yards and over 25 TDs his senior season and leading his team to its first-ever state appearance. In his junior year, Chad placed 1st in the Triple Jump, 2nd in the 200-meter dash and 3rd in the 100-meter dash. Chad has trained under speed coach, Gene Noonan, since high school. He incorporates the core of Noonan’s teachings with his own to help all levels of athletes improve their speed and agility. Also, Chad actively works with the Glen Ellyn Golden Eagles youth football program as a volunteer coach.
